Three types of pull-out field tests were carried out to examine the performance of a closed-form solution in estimating the displacements of piles in cohesive soil subjected to regular cyclic axial loading. The test program included static loading, creep loading and cyclic loading. Discussion was focused on the interpretation of the static loading test results. The procedures are proposed to estimate the pile displacement under cyclic loading from the static loading test results. The re-sults indicate that the calculated displacements of piles subjected to cyclic pull-out loading are in good agreement with the measurements.
